These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GRIND fitness and activity-tracking application ("GRIND", the "App" or the "Service"), operated by Montrose Labs ("we", "us" or "our").
By downloading, accessing or using GRIND, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use GRIND.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use GRIND.
If you are under the age of legal majority in your country or region, you should only use GRIND with the permission of a parent or legal guardian where required.
GRIND is intended to provide fitness, workout and activity-tracking functionality.
You agree to use GRIND only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
We may restrict or terminate access to GRIND where reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service or our legal rights.
Some GRIND features require an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless the activity resulted from circumstances outside your reasonable control.
You should contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
GRIND is a fitness and activity-tracking application.
GRIND is not a medical service, medical device or healthcare provider.
Workout information, AI coaching responses, training suggestions, recovery guidance and other fitness-related information provided through GRIND are for general informational and fitness purposes only.
They are not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
You should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before beginning a new exercise programme where appropriate, particularly if you have an existing health condition, injury or other medical concern.
You are responsible for exercising safely and within your own abilities.
Stop exercising and seek appropriate medical assistance if you experience symptoms that cause concern.
GRIND is a fitness, activity-tracking and training-support application. Workouts, training plans, AI Coach responses, exercise demonstrations, performance insights and other information provided through GRIND are intended for general fitness and informational purposes only.
GRIND does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment and is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, physiotherapist or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Physical exercise carries inherent risks, including the risk of injury. You are responsible for deciding whether an exercise, workout, training plan or activity is appropriate for your individual circumstances, fitness level, experience and physical condition.
You should stop exercising and seek appropriate medical assistance if you experience pain, dizziness, faintness, unusual shortness of breath, chest discomfort or other symptoms that cause concern.
Where you have an existing medical condition or injury, are taking medication, are pregnant, or otherwise have concerns about your ability to exercise safely, you should seek appropriate professional medical advice before beginning or changing an exercise programme.
AI-generated workouts and recommendations may contain errors or may not take account of circumstances or information that GRIND does not know about. Users should exercise appropriate judgement and should not follow a recommendation that appears unsafe or inappropriate.
Exercise demonstration videos and written instructions are provided as general guidance and do not replace in-person instruction, supervision or assessment by an appropriately qualified fitness professional.
GPS routes, distance, pace, activity data, health information and other measurements provided by GRIND may be affected by device sensors, permissions, signal conditions, third-party services and other technical factors. They should not be relied upon for emergency, medical or safety-critical purposes.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Montrose Labs will not be responsible for loss, damage or injury arising solely from a user's decision to undertake an activity contrary to these warnings, from misuse of GRIND, or from reliance on information that GRIND clearly identifies as general fitness guidance rather than medical or safety-critical advice.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
GRIND may use GPS and device sensors to track outdoor activities such as walking, running or cycling.
GPS-based measurements may not always be completely accurate.
Factors including device hardware, signal strength, surroundings, battery settings, operating-system behaviour and network conditions may affect:
GRIND activity information should not be relied upon for emergency navigation, medical monitoring or safety-critical purposes.
GRIND may provide AI-powered coaching and fitness features.
AI-generated responses may contain errors, omissions or information that is not appropriate for every user.
You should use your own judgement when following AI-generated fitness suggestions.
AI-generated responses must not be treated as medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
You retain ownership of workout information, notes and other content you submit to GRIND.
You grant Montrose Labs a limited right to host, store, process and display this information solely as reasonably necessary to provide and operate GRIND.

GRIND may offer optional paid subscriptions, including GRIND Pro.
GRIND Pro may be offered as a monthly, annual or other subscription period shown on the purchase screen.
The exact subscription price and duration will be displayed before you confirm your purchase.
For purchases made through the iOS version of GRIND, payment is charged through your Apple ID and processed by Apple through the App Store.
For purchases made through the Android version of GRIND, payment is processed through your Google Play account.
Subscriptions are auto-renewable unless cancelled in accordance with the applicable App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
Your subscription will renew according to the subscription period shown at the time of purchase unless auto-renewal is disabled before renewal.
Renewal charges are processed by the applicable app store according to the subscription price and terms associated with your account.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
Cancelling auto-renewal does not normally immediately remove GRIND Pro access.
Your subscription will generally remain active until the end of the current paid billing period.
Deleting your GRIND account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription.
If you wish to stop future subscription charges, you must also cancel the subscription through the applicable Apple or Google subscription settings.
Where supported by the applicable platform, GRIND provides a Restore Purchases option.
Restore Purchases may be used to restore eligible GRIND Pro entitlements associated with the relevant Apple ID or Google Play account.
Restoring purchases does not create a new subscription or duplicate an existing purchase.
Montrose Labs does not directly process payment-card details for in-app App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
Subscription billing and payment processing are handled by Apple or Google depending on the platform through which the purchase was made.

The price displayed by the applicable app store before purchase is the price applicable to that transaction.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies.
Refunds for Google Play purchases are handled by Google in accordance with Google's policies.
Montrose Labs cannot guarantee that a refund request will be approved by Apple or Google.
Subscription prices may change in the future.
Any price changes will be handled in accordance with the policies and requirements of the applicable app store.
Where required, users will be notified or asked to consent to a price change by Apple or Google.
GRIND may occasionally offer free trials, introductory pricing or promotional subscription offers.
Eligibility and duration may be determined by Apple, Google or the applicable offer rules.
Unless cancelled before the applicable renewal date, a free trial or promotional subscription may convert into a paid auto-renewable subscription at the price displayed when the offer was accepted.
You may request deletion of your GRIND account through the App where available or by contacting:
Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate processes.
Deleting a GRIND account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.
Users must cancel subscriptions separately through the relevant app store subscription-management settings.
GRIND may rely on third-party services including:
Your use of certain third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
GRIND uses RevenueCat to help manage subscription entitlements and verify in-app purchases.
RevenueCat does not replace Apple or Google as the payment processor.
Subscription purchases remain processed through the applicable App Store or Google Play system.
We aim to keep GRIND available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
GRIND may occasionally be unavailable because of:
Features may change, be improved, removed or replaced over time.
GRIND, including its software, interface, branding, graphics and other materials created by Montrose Labs, is owned by or licensed to Montrose Labs and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of GRIND or its intellectual property to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Montrose Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses resulting from your use of GRIND.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
You remain responsible for making appropriate decisions regarding your own exercise, fitness and health.
You may stop using GRIND at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:

We may update these Terms when GRIND's features, business model, legal obligations or services change.
Updated Terms will be published and the Last updated date will be revised.
Where required by applicable law, users may receive additional notice of material changes.
For users who download GRIND through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to use of the App.

If there is a conflict between these GRIND Terms and Apple's mandatory App Store terms, the applicable Apple terms will apply to the extent required.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply in the user's country or region.
Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
